The recipient of a BA and an MA in law from the University of Cambridge, Amir Daim is currently a director and shareholder at Permatang Maju in Malaysia. Overseeing investor interests at ADIENT Malaysia and YANFENG Malaysia, Amir Daim provides governance oversight and capital-planning support for interior and automotive-seating operations.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Daim worked as a management executive with the Kerry Group in Hong Kong from 2017 to 2019. He supported hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing operations, analysed regional markets, and reviewed business-unit performance measures. He also contributed to strategy implementation across Southeast Asia.
Amir Daim’s experience spans automotive, investment, food-and-beverage, and property activities. His areas of professional focus include capital allocation, investor relations, business development, and stakeholder engagement. Beyond his work, he volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Kuching, assisting with home repair and construction for families with low incomes. He also led expeditions and personal-development projects through the Duke of Edinburgh Programme in Kuala Lumpur.
